An Tóstal is a celebration of local currach racing traditions and the Galway hooker racing and much more. Many boats are expected to participate in races including the average 33 – 44ft boat known locally as na báid mhóra to smaller boats such as the 28-33ft known as leathbháid and also the gleoiteoga.
